Côr Meibion Y Foel

The Foel Male Voice Choir was formed by Grȇs Pritchard to participate in the Millennium Christmas Concert at Capel Ifan,Llannerch y medd. Following the success of the concert, it was decided in 2001  to form a choir to compete in the Anglesey Eisteddfod, which was to be held in Llannerch y medd.

Llannerch y medd is an ancient marketing town situated on the Foel hill, which has lent its name to the Choir. The Choir is based at the the local school room at Capel Ifan and members travel from all over Anglesey to meet for rehearsals every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Over the past decade the Choir has supported local Eisteddfodau, competed in the Anglesey Eisteddfod, raised money for numerous charities and has entertained audiences in concerts, weddings and other functions throughout North Wales.

The Choir has travelled north to Falkirk and Alloa in Scotland, eastwards to England, their second visit to Holmes Chapel in 2011 and southwards to Plymouth to entertain a capacity audience with The Tamar Valley Male Voice Choir.

In September 2008 the choir released its first CD, Croesi’r Bont (Crossing the Bridge), and in August 2017 the choir released it's second recording Draw Dros Y Don. Both Cd's contain varius bilingual tracks (see Music Recordings)
